Home Chefs started in 1998 after I graduated from Kendall College.
I worked for several high end country clubs and a high end restaurant. Those experiences gave me the foundation to start a service where restaurant quality food came into homes.
The concept of being a personal chef was new to me. I thought only the very rich or famous used the services of a personal chef. What I found was a personal chef works for several families customizing meals to each family. What a personal chef does for their clients is truly personal !
As the personal chef practice grew, I started to launch my catering business. My first event was a wedding for a friend. Her comment to me was, " You should really do this for a living. The food was great and I did not have anything to worry about. " That comment in 1999 launched my catering service. We strive to make your event as stress free as possible.
In 2004 I made the jump into education. I taught at Robert Morris University in their Culinary Institute. Unfortunately in July of 2011 my position was eliminated due to budget cuts.
Presently I work with Sur La Table in Naperville teaching cooking classes along with servicing my clients.
